Terms of Service

1.Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GIC Folks (the "Service"), operated by Global Infocloud, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms on that company's behalf.

2.The Service

GIC Folks is a Human Resource Management System providing attendance tracking, leave management, payroll processing, recruitment, asset management, employee communication, and related HR tools, including optional Google Calendar and Google Chat integrations governed also by our Privacy Policy.

3.Accounts & Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to use the Service only for lawful HR purposes.
• Company administrators are responsible for the accuracy of data entered for their employees.

4.Acceptable Use

You must use GIC Folks only for legitimate business, workforce, recruitment, payroll, attendance, and communication purposes. You must not:

• Use the Service to violate applicable law, employment obligations, privacy rights, or company policy.
• Upload malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, bypass permissions, or interfere with another user's account.
• Use another person's Google account or connect a Google Calendar or Chat account without authorization.
• Use Google data obtained through an integration for advertising, resale, or a purpose unrelated to the feature the user enabled.

5.Third-Party Integrations

Optional integrations such as Google Calendar and Google Chat are provided at the request of an authorized user or company administrator. Calendar integration can read selected calendar data and, when enabled, create, update, or delete events. Chat integration can list linked spaces, synchronize authorized memberships, import messages, and send messages. These actions occur only within the permissions granted to the connected Google account and the access controls configured in GIC Folks.

Your use of Google services remains subject to Google's terms and policies. You may disconnect an integration from GIC Folks or revoke it in your Google Account settings.

6.Data Ownership and Company Administration

HR data you or your company enters into GIC Folks remains controlled by your company, subject to applicable law and individual rights. We act as a service provider/data processor on your company's behalf.

Company administrators may manage employee access, approval workflows, linked conversations, and retention settings. Your employer may be able to access HR records and work-related messages associated with the company account.

7.Security and Availability

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures such as HTTPS, authentication, role-based access, and audit-oriented controls to protect the Service. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure or continuously available.

You must promptly report suspected unauthorized access or security incidents to your company administrator and to GIC Folks.

8.Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Global Infocloud is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

9.Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violation of these terms, non-payment of subscription fees, or as required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time.
